Hi, we are Maggie and Douglas and we house sit and pet sit together in the Bay Area.

Maggie

Originally from Scotland, I'm a US citizen and have been living in the Bay Area since 2002. I work as a Research Team Manager and Professional Genealogist.

I love crafting, reading, and being outdoors. I'm calm by nature, and animals tend to warm to me quickly. I'm extremely tidy and respectful in clients' homes.

Douglas

I'm a Scot, a US citizen and have lived in the US since 2002. I ran my own tech company for 23 years and now I am a CEO Coach.

I enjoy walking in nature and have been practicing Transcendental Meditation for over 38 years.

Why We Work Well Together

We have been married for 26 years and have lived in the US since 2002. We love looking after pets and enjoy seeing new places in the Bay Area. We both do remote work allowing us the flexibility to be with the pets throughout the day. Our clients describe us as calm, extremely tidy, reliable and easy to work with. As a couple we provide the added security of having two people to look after your home and pets.

Maggie and Douglas have done multiple sits in Larkspur and Mill Valley, surrounded by beautiful redwood trees and forested trails. The name Redwood Paws is inspired by caring for dogs in these redwood-rich neighborhoods, walking and hiking with them on local trails.

Just as redwoods stand tall, steady, and deeply rooted, we bring a calm, mature presence to pet care. Your pets stay in their familiar environment—your home—reducing stress and maintaining their routines.
